A very very disappointing tour for the visitors loosing 2:0 in test series now being whitewashed in ODI series which is their best format where senior players steps up but nothing really nothing for them.
Ask to bowl first and wanted to score big the home side and got it exactly what they wanted getting 369 runs in 50 overs loosing only 6 wickets! Young Aiden Markram and Muldar made their debut and had a tasty debut as Markram scored 65 and Muldar picked couple of wickets with the ball in hand.
Quinton De Kock early on gave a very good start along with Temba Bavuma adding 117 runs partnership but it was broken by Mehedi Hasan who picked both the openers and opened the gate for the bowlers to strike another one but Mashrafe Mortaza went to part timers which backfired.
The skipper Faf du Plessis missed out on 100 getting injured scored 91 off 67 balls. Nothing for Ab De Villiers though as he scored 20 runs only. Farhaan Behardien ane Kagiso Rabada adding 34 runs off 18 balls to place South Africa in a giant score.
Bangladesh had a horrible opening start knowing they needed a solid and quick start if they are to give any chance to get close to that 370 but lost 3 wickets in the 1st 10 overs took them out of the game. Shakib Al Hasan got 63 but wasn’t much more than a fight and bit of fight from Sabbir, Mehedi, Mashrafe other than that it’s completely black and white. Bangladesh loosing by a massive margin of 200 runs.
The key players Mustafizur Rahman and Tamim Iqbal both missed out this match and displayed what difference does it make without these 2 quality players. Quinton De Kock got the most runs in a 3-match ODI series and has been rewarded the man of the series and Faf du Plessis getting the man of the match for his 67-ball 91 for which South Africa got to a mammoth score of 369.
3-0 win for South Africa in the ODI series and it’s 5 wins now in a row for the wins across test and ODI formats.
