Bangladesh absolutely outplayed by the great South African side!
Mashrafe Mortaza winning the toss and choosing to bat first on a surface which suits chasing side mostly but respectively it was very wise decision having a high hope of putting 300 or more but the disappointment did not end as some of them got starts but not shifting to a massive score apart from Mushfiqur Rahim who got an excellent 110 off 116 balls taking the side 278/7 in 50 overs but heavily missed Tamim Iqbal who’s been among the runs this year but has not been able to participate this match.
Imrul Kayes and Liton Das gave a solid opening start but could not carry the momentum.
The comeback of Shakib did not make too much of difference as he got out just for 29. Shakib though became the quickest All rounder to score 5000 runs and pick 200 wickets. South African’s in reply had not lost a wickets chasing 279 which was one of their best victories loosing no wickets.
Quinton De Kock and Hashim Amla with their tons cruised along and Bangladeshi bowlers found nothing to South Africa’s cracking batting and they are the Bangladeshi boys are quite shocked seeing nothing gone in their way after posting a fighting total of 278.
It wasn’t enough but obviously fighting but the bowlers absolutely had nothing to work with. On the other hand Kagiso Rabada kept his momentum going from the test series as he again picks 4 fer on a difficult surface where bowlers tends to struggle.
The man of the match was given the man of the match award for his magnificent 145-ball 168 unbeaten.
1-0 up the South Africans in the Onedayers! Bangladesh will need some serious work with their bowling.
